#7 - The Nightingale

The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah is beautiful, heartbreaking, vividly told, and a page-turner for the emotionally strong. I read this in the first week of Annie being born, and that might not have been the best decision. Reading about war violence and unrequited love in my postpartum state was rough but still awesome.

After listening to Anne Bogel's podcast "What Should I Read Next?" I've started to pinpoint what I like about books, and this story hits a lot of my requirements - a love story, an historical backdrop, compelling action, and sexy French dudes.
