Stupid Easy Watercolor Gift Tags
Sometimes you just need to make something, but often we don't know where to begin. Let me introduce you to the EASIEST CRAFT EVER. These watercolor gift tags cannot be messed up. They just can't. I love to create, but I'm not naturally gifted in it. If I can do these, you absolutely can.
- Paint a sheet of watercolor or art paper. Use no more than 1-3 different colors to keep it simple. Even if you use one, you'll have variation because the amount of water you use will affect the saturation of the paint color. There are so many ways to use watercolor paints: wipe water across the page and then add paint, add paint to the page first and then swipe water across it, or put a wet brush in the paint and then hit the page. There's no wrong way to do this.
- Let it dry.
- Cut out shapes. You can use a tag or circle punch, or just cut out shapes with scissors. If you go that route, the more imperfect, the better.
- Punch a hole in the top of the tag and thread a string through. Fold a string in half, thread the two ends through the paper hole, loop them around the top of the tag to thread back through the loop in the string, and gently pull.
SO. EASY. Paint, cut, punch, thread. And they're done in minutes with the cutest, simplest results. Now go make some!
