Hi.

I'm Kendra, and I'm here to help you be a genius about the things that matter and lazy about the things that don't. Welcome to your people.

Who's Our Favorite Adam?

Who's Our Favorite Adam?

This Ben vote was crazy. SO. CLOSE. Like, practically an even distribution between Stiller, Bratt, McKenzie, and Affleck. First, lots of love to you McKenzie fans for sharing why he's so great in the comments. I love it when good guys get their deserved attention. But alas, he didn't win. He came in third but barely.

Your favorite Ben is...

Ben Stiller!

This week is Adam week, and then next week - our final regular week of voting - is for guys who have singular names (think Benedict, Leonardo, Denzel, etc.). In other words, NEXT WEEK IS GOING TO BE IMPOSSIBLE but so fun.

Now let's vote for our favorite Adam!

Adam Brody

Where We've Seen Him

The O.C., Gilmore Girls, In the Land of Women, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, New Girl, and Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.

Why We Love Him

I'm disappointed in myself for never watching The O.C. because I missed out on both Ben McKenzie and Adam being apparently awesome. Based on how much I loved Adam's portrayal of Dave in Gilmore Girls, I think I'd be obsessed with Seth Cohen. He's so hot. SOOOO HOT. And his smile and smirk and hair sweep and all of it is just too much. His interests include music ranging from Sinatra to indie rock (of course he's a drummer in a band), old horror movies, animals (owns a dog and a horse), and has a new baby with his wife, Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester.

ALSO HE WAS SUPPOSED TO PLAY NED ON PUSHING DAISIES BUT PULLED OUT BECAUSE HE DIDN'T WANT TO BE ON TV AGAIN SO SOON AFTER THE O.C. OHMYWORD WHAT IS HAPPENING.

Adam Devine

Where We've Seen Him

Pitch Perfect, The Intern, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, Modern Family, and Workaholics. You can also see him getting waxed in a Geico commercial.

Why We Love Him

He's funny; we love funny guys. He's been around for barely five years; Workaholics started in 2011, and he got Pitch Perfect the following year. Doesn't it feel like we've known him for a lot longer? His favorite thing is stand-up comedy which he hopes to do long after he's finished with television and movies.

Adam Driver

Where We've Seen Him

Girls, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Inside Llewyn Davis, Silence, This Is Where I Leave You, and Lincoln.

Why We Love Him

First thing you might not know about Adam Driver that will make you love him: after the attacks on 9/11, he enlisted in the Marines and served for two years until he was medically discharged due to a mountain biking injury. Now he runs a foundation called Arts in the Armed Forces, bringing theater to the military. I mean, come on. He's crazy smart, graduating from Juilliard. And, yes, he has an incredibly unique face and not at all traditionally handsome. But you hear him speak and watch him perform, and suddenly things change. He received immediate notoriety from Girls (not everyone's cup of tea), but I believe his entire body of work will be on par with some of the greats.

Adam Levine

Where We've Seen Him

The Voice, Begin Again, Pitch Perfect 2, American Horror Story, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, and an episode each of Broad City and 30 Rock.

Why We Love Him

He's a hot musician who's talented, charming, and covered in tattoos. If I were a contestant on The Voice and it wasn't an Alicia Keys season, I'd beg for Adam's team. He's been connected to Hollywood for awhile, working as a writer's assistant in the music department for the show Judging Amy, and he's been friends with Jake Gyllenhaal and Jason Segal since kindergarten. Did I mention he's hot?

Adam McKay

Where We've Seen Him

Probably not many places, but you know him. He's the mind behind a string of comedies like Anchorman, Step Brothers, and Talladega Nights and then goes to the other other end with movies like The Big Short and the upcoming Bad Blood with Jennifer Lawrence. And do you listen to the podcast Surprisingly Awesome from Gimlet Media? He's one of the co-hosts. Super smart guy who's made an impact on film without being recognized in an airport.

Why We Love Him

If you love his work, you know him and love him. And, y'all, this guy is incredibly talented and inventive. He's a founder of Upright Citizens Brigade and one of the co-founders of the website Funny or Die. I mean, seriously? He's restructured comedy as we know it, and even if we don't know him, we sure what he's done.

Adam Pally

Where We've Seen Him

The Mindy Project, Happy Endings, Dirty Grandpa, and a smattering of spots on various sketch shows.

Why We Love Him

He's a supporting player who steals the show; he's my favorite just because he comes on screen. What's funny is that he's been married for ten years and has two kids but comes off as a self-described "bro." He's simglehandedly trying to eliminate the negative, drunk frat boy connotation, saying, "I call on bros to put on their visors again and come out of their dorms and hang out in public and be proud of it. Put on your Dave Matthews CDs and dance around." And he says a bro's favorite movie is Caddyshack. His, too. So endearing I can't stand it.

Adam Sandler

Where We've Seen Him

Saturday Night Live, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, The Waterboy, The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, Big Daddy, Punch-Drunk Love, Anger Management, The Longest Yard, Spanglish, Grown Ups, Just Go With It, and honestly a ton more

Why We Love Him

Talk about bros... he's a Mets fan, super into professional wrestling, and a Republican in Hollywood. He seems mainstream now, but that's because he went against the grain and created an entirely new genre of comedy. He's polarizing since he's not to everyone's taste, but the guy is massively successful, making movie after movie that people still want to see. I wasn't exposed to Sandler when he exploded in the 90s, but I sure did love him in 50 First Dates. That movie charms me to this day.

Adam Scott

Where We've Seen Him

Parks and Rec, Big Little Lies, The Good Place, Sleeping with Other People, They Came Together, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Burning Love, Friends with Kids, Party Down, and Step Brothers.

Why We Love Him

Minus the neuroses, he's really similar to Ben, his character on Parks and Rec, and Ben was a fantastic human. Adam Scott is charming, easy-going, a family man with an 8 year-old and a 10 year-old, and can wear a skinny tie like no one I've ever seen. He's simply funny and delightful. Also he was one of the final choices to play Jim on The Office. WHAAAAAAA.
