Hi.

I'm Kendra, and I'm here to help you be a genius about the things that matter and lazy about the things that don't. Welcome to your people.

Who's Our Favorite Ben?

Who's Our Favorite Ben?

Another Friday of Hot Guy faces, and all is well. If your Valentine's weekend is lame, at least this is fun!

Last week, we voted for our favorite Jim, and while Caviezel made an impressive showing, your heart's choice was no surprise.

Your favorite Jim is...

Jimmy Fallon!

Of course it was. Well done, everyone. You know what shocked me though? Jim Carrey was the lowest vote-getter! Didn't expect that one. I guess you guys aren't teenage-boy-comedy fans.

Let's get to our favorite Ben.

Here's the thing about Ben Week: it seems like a slam dunk. Affleck is the noted A-lister, but he's gripping the edge to stay there. There are a lot of sentimental favorites on this list, so I'm excited to see who wins out. I'm counting on a close one. (Spoiler: he's not my favorite Ben.) Let's get to it!

Ben AffIeck

Where We've Seen Him

Good Will Hunting, Gone Girl, The Town, Argo, He's Just Not That Into You, Gigli, Jersey Girl, Daredevil, Pearl Harbor, Shakespeare in Love, Armageddon, Chasing Amy, and the new Batman movies.

Why We Love Him

He's polarizing, y'all. You either love him or you're pretty annoyed with him. I feel bad for the guy because he's incredibly talented but has a gigantic chip on his shoulder, always trying to prove he's just as good and likable as Matt Damon. (He's not; no one is.) Consequently, he tries super hard to get us to like him, and I think he's starting to crumble under the pressure. And he misses Jen. Well, we miss Jen making him more comfortable and confident in who he is. But if you don't think he's good, watch The Town. Or Argo. Pay attention to the scripts of Gone Baby Gone and Good Will Hunting. He's a huge talent, just maybe not as a leading man.

Ben Barnes

Where We've Seen Him

Westworld, Dorian Gray, The Chronicles of Narnia, and Stardust.

Why We Love Him

We all have that one celebrity crush that's under the radar but grabs us and won't let go. Ben Barnes is not that person for me, but I know people who would walk over hot coals to smell his hair. He's tall, British, musical, and handsome... all you need.

Benjamin Bratt

Where We've Seen Him

Law and Order, Modern Family, Miss Congeniality, Doctor Strange, 24: Live Another Day, Traffic, Private Practice, Catwoman, and as my personal favorite Ranger Johnny in The River Wild.

Why We Love Him

Umm, he's bonkers hot. Like, SURRIOUSLY. And can we discuss how he's aged better than possible any human on earth? Because he's 53 and just as hot as he was at 33. He's laid-back and super into hanging out with family, and a moment of silence for his relationship with Julia Roberts once upon a time.

And, yes, that picture is amazing.

Ben Feldman

Where We've Seen Him

Superstore, Silicon Valley, The Mindy Project, Mad Men, Cloverfield, and Drop Dead Diva.

Why We Love Him

He's extremely attractive, Extremely. But more than that, he's a genuinely funny, charming, adorably pessimistic person. Every interview I've ever read makes me love him even more than his performances already had. No one plays a better likable snob.

P.S. If you're not watching Superstore, you're missing out on one of the great joys in life. In an atmosphere of real-life drama, it's the levity you need.

Ben Foster

Where We've Seen Him

Hell or High Water, Lone Survivor, 3:10 to Yuma, Six Feet Under, Hostage, The Punisher, Bang Bang You're Dead, and two episodes of Freaks and Geeks.

Why We Love Him

He's another one of those secret crushes that might have its hold on some of you. It's hard to love him for the characters he plays since most of them are, umm, CRAZY, but he's a hot crazy. It makes a difference. And if you think he looks familiar but not from any movies you've seen, he was with Robin Wright for a couple of years and is now engaged to Laura Prepon and expecting a little Hollywood baby.

Ben Kingsley

Where We've Seen Him

Gandhi, The Jungle Book, Exodus: Gods and Kings, Hugo, Ender's Game, Iron Man 3, Shutter Island, Love Guru, House of Sand and Fog, Tuck Everlasting, and Schindler's List.

Why We Love Him

Umm, when a guy can play Gandhi and also hold his own opposite Mike Meyers in Love Guru? I mean... RANGE. He has 133 acting credits over a 40-ish year career, and we've all seen him in something. Every film might not be a hit, but you can count on his performance being fantastic. Plus I have a thing for bald guys. He's so handsome. Regal. Shakespearean. I'll stop now.

Ben McKenzie

Where We've Seen Him

The O.C., Gotham, Southland, and a lovely movie no one has ever seen called Junebug.

Why We Love Him

If Ryan Atwood has your heart, you're done for. But here's something crazy. He played football in high school... WITH DREW BREES. Drew Brees is the quarterback for the New Orleans Saints and has a Super Bowl ring. They were teammates. Ben is now a Saints fan. I LOVE THAT OHMYGOSH. He's a self-described loner which makes him kind of sexy, right? The brooding hot guy in the corner always makes the hearts of every high school girl go aflutter.

Ben Mendelsohn

Where We've Seen Him

Bloodline, Rogue One, Exodus: Gods and Kings, The Place Beyond the Pines, The Dark Knight Rises, and Animal Kingdom.

Why We Love Him

He's on the Mount Rushmore of great character actors, and while he's not been on the American radar very long, he's been a huge star in Australia since he was a kid. We'll see if his recent surge from the Star Wars juggernaut gets him in the spotlight even more. His upcoming films? Ready Player One (a great book being adapted to film), a gritty remake of Robin Hood (starring Jamie Dornan, Jamie Foxx, and and Taron Egerton), and an epic Joe Wright film about Winston Churchill (John Hurt, Lily James, Gary Oldman, and Kristin Scott Thomas also starring). You'll be hearing his name a lot more in the next year or two.

Ben Stiller

Where We've Seen Him

There's Something About Mary, Zoolander, Night at the Museum, Meet the Parents, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Arrested Development, Tropic Thunder, Along Came Polly, The Royal Tenenbaums, and Reality Bites.

Why We Love Him

We'll use the standard sentence for a guy like this: he's super funny and also incredibly talented. Sound about right? He could've folded under the pressure of being Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara's son, but he didn't. He also has a Tom Cruise impression that moves mountains. And he's been married to Christine Taylor for 17 years. Praise.

Ben Whishaw

Where We've Seen Him

The Hour, The Danish Girl, played Q in both Spectre and Skyfall, Suffragette, In the Heart of the Sea, Cloud Atlas, and The Hollow Crown. He's also starring in the Mary Poppins remake with Emily Blunt, Emily Mortimer, Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, and friggin Lin-Manuel Miranda. THAT MOVIE IS GOING TO CHANGE THE WORLD.

Why We Love Him

The Hour is your favorite show you haven't seen yet, and Ben is magical as the lead. He's not traditionally handsome, but he has a beautifully British voice that matches his intellectual lankiness perfectly, i.e. he's British hot (see Colin Firth). He's not terribly well known, but he's arguably one of the most talented actors in Hollywood. After you see Mary Poppins next year, come back here and tell me how much you love him.

Voting is closed! Your favorite by a HAIR is Ben Stiller!
