Special Edition Stack: Kids Books

My boys have to read thirty minutes a day for school, and our deal with them is they get to choose the book for fifteen minutes and we choose a book for the other fifteen. They don’t know what they don’t know and would read Calvin and Hobbes and Captain Underpants for an eternity if we didn’t kindly force other titles on them. The split keeps it fair and gets them into books they would love but won’t try. Case in point, I made Sam start Superfudge, and he’s so into it.

I asked my kind followers on Instagram to recommend their favorite kid reads. Here are their top recommendations.
